This position is part of our EA Toner Plant in Webster, NY.  It is responsible for manufacturing activities related to the production of finished products which may include the supervision of employees completing these activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Support achievement of shift production schedule and shift operating metrics.  Help coordinate and monitor shift activities in alignment with production priorities.
  • Provide vacation/illness backfill support for batch leaders.
  • Provide coaching and troubleshooting guidance to assigned operations team during the processing of chemical toner batches and associated changeover activities. 
  • Expected to work hand-in-hand with crew to produce the toner batches.  Must be able to use a DCS (distributed control system) interface to run and monitor batches.  Must be able to perform laboratory measurements to monitor and adjust the quality of in-process toner.  Must be able to perform material handling and changeover operations (high pressure spraying, air whipping, etc.).
  • Look for opportunities for productivity improvements and help direct ideas from team into tangible productivity gains.
  • Ensure that plant safety and housekeeping standards are met (5S).
  • Support training for new hires and re-training of existing team, when required.
  • Help maintain and improve process documentation (checklists, operating instructions, etc.).


Qualifications:


Minimum of a Bachelors of Science / Associate of Applied Science Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred).
