OVERVIEW:

The Billing Leaders will lead the billing department, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and oversee the development and implementation of billing policies, procedures, and systems. This role will collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and the Customer Service team to optimize billing workflows, improve processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and Xerox regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the billing team (both internal and partner lead) to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely invoicing for all clients and customers.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of billing policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Ensure all billing processes comply with company guidelines, contracts, and regulations.

  • Collaborate with Origination, Customer Relations, and Operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies, address client inquiries, and support revenue recognition.

  • Conduct regular audits of billing practices and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing, total contracts billed, and invoice accuracy.

  • Work closely with senior management to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational efficiency.

  • Manage customer escalations related to billing issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Lead the development of reporting tools and dashboards to provide transparency into billing performance and financial metrics.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLSETS & EXPERIENCES:

  • 5+ years of experience in billing or revenue management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong PC and systems literacy eg. in Excel, Word, Siebel

  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives, team members, and clients.
